We'd like to HARM some movie critics, and we are DI-hard fans of weird movies!
Listen-I AM a freak. My friend is a freak. We are proud of this fact. We celebrate our freak-dom. And we love to watch movies. Over the years, we've come to discover that we like movies that NO ONE else seems to like. Not movie critics, not the movie watching public(although these ARE the same idiots who pay money to watch movies like The Wedding Planner, or mindless action flicks like Mission Impossible 2-which was just dreadful, etc.). Just us. But I like to believe that there are others out there like us-freaks who like to watch movies with real dialogue and plot developement, odd little movies, movies you really have to WATCH and think about. On this website, we'll talk about these movies, and about WHY we like them. We'll also do movie reviews. And hopefully, we'll get in touch with those other people, just like us, who ask for a little more in a movie-the FREAKS of FILM. |
FREAK-ish News
May 12-well, FREAKS, STAR WARS II-Attack of the Clones is in theatres. And all the good little retarded fans are lining up to watch this piece of crap. I think George Lucas must have used a Jedi Mind Trick on his fans, so that they'll put up with anything. I do believe he could take a dump on film, and STILL find people willing to pay to watch it. Talk about clones.
May 19-Watched a movie called Eye of the Beholder today. And let me tell you, FREAKS, it was nothing like I expected. I'll be adding it to my FREAK list, pronto.
May22-Watched The Man Who Wasn't There-and he wasn't. Snores-ville. Also watched the Others. Pretty good atmospheric movie, but I guessed the twist at the end about thirty minutes in.
May 28th-Just watched Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone for the very first time. And may I say, in my opinion Chris Columbus should be drawn, quartered,flayed & shot for this idiotic adaptation of the book. It's like Home Alone with magic. It is stupid, and all the best scenes have been cut. There is very little humor, and the casting director probably never read the books. Daniel Radcliffe appears to have only two expressions in his whole repetoire. Alan Rickman looked like he could have used some prozac. The acting was overblown, cheesy and childish. I think I'll go watch the Lord of the Rings again. Maybe it will take the bad taste out of my mouth. |
